Android Devices

Postby lv » April 28th, 2010, 9:00 am

I'm currently exploring different ways to incorporate Android devices into TS. The good news is that I think it'll be possible. The bad news is that I don't have a device to test with.

I'll have to register as an Android developer to get access to the development device. At the end of the day that's going to be about a $500 total investment out of my pocket, ouch. This would also open the door for previous ideas such as a TS remote management app for your phone.

So before I consider even dropping that kind of money, I'd like to hear from those who do play the games on their Android devices.

What Android device(s) do you use to play? (HTC, Droid, etc) Do you also own/use an iDevice (iPhone, iPod, iPad) to play?

Thanks!

Well, it's got to be developed before it can be tested.

If I end up buying a dev phone it won't be until after google IO towards the end of the month.

Good to hear. I've been off the grid a bit lately while picking up and learning android development. For right now the sdk emulator is working fine and just for kicks I installed android on an old iphone 3g that I've got.

I play racing live on a motorola droid. The update to froyo messed up the racing live app on my phone and causes graphics to be displayed on top of each other. This makes playing racing live on froyo near impossible. I would love to see this software work for it. I have no idevices.

Recently moved over from playing on an ipt/iphone to an HTC EVO.

Currently playing Vampires, Zombies, occasionally World War

If you are having troubles with figuring out devices and all, the Android development tools have a pretty good emulator that you can use. Haven't developed with it much/at all though.

I hope you can get the android devices working. I just DL'd, installed, configured your S/W only to realize that it was for iPhones only.....I hope you are able to find this, as this would be a great tool to use on my Droid!

htc devices.

I also just realized i cant use it for android s8 games.

Isnt it just username/password transfer?

in the seting they can let you transfer, so must be some settings to identify your account.
